4602

This standard specifies the visual requirements for High Visibility safety garments which are worn by people who work in hazardous environments, e.g. moving traffic.  It also covers the requirements for garments so as to be Day Use and/or Night Use compliant.  It also covers the types of reflective tape applications that are acceptable under the standard along with the proportion of High Vis required for any garment to be classified for Day Use, e.g. 0.4m2.

Class D -

Day use only (no reflective tape) but must be Hi Vis.

Class N -

Night use only (with reflective tape) does not need to be Hi Vis.

Class D/N -

Day and Night Use - Must have reflective tape and be Hi Vis.
